Deffinitely an interesting video. So what do you say Joe? Will a UFO appear low enough sometime this week to change the minds of sceptics? Or will the prophet be forgotten?

I think it would be cool if something did show up clearly. It could still be a hoax though..........generated by a station that needs more viewers. Oh well...

Hmmm...Joe..I have this neighbor with a remote control airplane. I bet he could do that. I told him if I ever saw anything flying over my house when I was out in the pool he's in trouble. He has a digicam loaded on it and takes pics. He can stand at his house a block and a half away and buzz my house.

I doubt there's many "remote controlled orange orbs" out there. But, I bet some would buy such a thing for hoaxing - if it can be made.

If you notice, in the news video, it was a UFO. I doubt that news station would risk hoaxing. I give them credit for being bold enough to show the video.

As for the old weather ballon thing... Not.

SergOn my other post, (repeat) I doubt the news station would put the credibility on the line. In fact that's why other stations haven't reported this. They are afraid. Even current events are not reported as news it seems, but coat it with political correctness first... What was shown here is a ufo. At least until proven it's really a robin with a thyroid problem.

Its hard really to get perspective on how large and how far up that object is. It could be something as simple as one of those gyrorotor things they sell all over the place, coated in some reflective paint.

I didn't have time to pull up the video (my net service sucks, run from NetZero!)

BTW, I'm sure some of you know this but for those who don't, the name "Yahweh" is the personal name for God in the Old Testament. When Moses bumped into the burning bush and God commissioned him to confront the pharoh, He told Moses to tell pharoh that "I AM" (Yahweh in Hebrew) sent him. It corresponds to the english spelling YHWH (Hebrew has no vowels).

The ancient Hebrews, even until the time of Christ, would not say this name out loud, it was considered to holy to be spoken by a mere human. When the name "YHWH" appeared in the text of a scripture being read aloud in the Temple or synagogue, the reader would not say "Yahweh" but would say "Adonai" instead, a more acceptable name to be said by a human.

Doesn't apply much to this bozo in the video above, but thought some here may be interested in this. That, and I wouldn't want to be in this poor goof's shoes on judgement day!

I think we all would like anwers, but to keep saying 'rotoprops', 'reflections', 'balloons' and such -- and just let it go at that is irresponsible.

On the other hand, good point, .......there will always be people that think "we are it -- nothing else could possibly exist."

...Back to the overweight robin theory - after all, it was orange colored..

So your going to rely on the credibility of news agencies? haha. Remember that story of the zoo who had the 45 ft snake? How did that one turn out...

If anything, this is another case of someone putting on a show for the media.

I dont believe we are alone, but I dont think we have any evidence of any intelligent life from another planet visiting us. And this video certainly doesnt prove anything. There is nothing in that clip to make me believe it is not from this planet.

What was shown was certainly a "ufo" -unidentified flying object. This incident is just that. It's not proof of extraterrestrials.

As I tried to say, some will always have a closed mind to the unknown.

I do like your interest in the matter. Got you thinking!!

Even if "yahwe", whatever, is a 'nut', there are so many sightings that can't be dismissed as natural occurrances. For now, this news video remains just that.

" UFO Guru Calls in Craft for TV Crew
29-May-2005

A man who claims that he has been using bible texts to call down UFOs for years has apparently caused one to appear on command for a Las Vegas TV crew.

The stunned television personnel watched as 'Prophet Yahweh" aka Ramon Watkins, raised his arms in prayer to Yahweh and pleaded with him, "show them that I'm not mentally ill." Moments later, the crew filmed an excellent UFO sighting, with the craft manuevering in an impossible manner, then heading off toward Nellis Air Force Base, then returning, only to disappear.

Unlike the prophet's calls to his friends in the sky, the TV station's calls to Nellis went unanswered. "

And so goes the weather balloon theory.....

Interesting, but it might as well never happened. It's always the same old story with these people. Lights in the sky mean absolutely nothing unless there is something to back it up. Now if something was to land and some beings walked out of a spaceship then I would be impressed. Until then......

Now don't get me wrong. I am a firm believer that there is life on other planets. Given the vastness and age of the universe it's a certainty. Intelligent life within a close enough proximity to earth is another matter though.

No species in its right mind gives the time of day or any technological hints to another species that purposefully points subatomic weaponry at its own property. I don't expect to see and actual LGMs until we find a way to people get off this rock permanently.

Possibly. I can quite easily imagine humans as being the galactic parasites of the future.

But can we assume that all alien races are peaceful and we are the only warlike species?

Hell no! But in taking our planet, I would think we would "defend" ourselves with the only large-scale weaponry we have... nukes. Boom, we just ruined our world for us and them. After watching all the junk we've put into the airwaves since 1938, I would think they'd know we'd screw ourselves before handing over a prime piece of real estate.

Galactic parasites? I think we're doing a bang-up job being terrestrial parasites, don't you?

I've heard arguments about space travel and how "we" think of it. How about some other life - smarter than us and their accomplishments? To be open-minded on the subject, I think we should not say 'easy rapid' space travel is not possible.

Agreed. I still maintain that we humans suck so bad at math yet that we can't figure it out. Wait until the AIs start really crunching numbers for us, THEN we'll start getting around to fast spaceflights.

If everyone on Earth could live in the same luxury as a middle classed family in America, then I highly doubt that their would be hardly any war. Would any of you give up the comforts of your life to risk it in attacking a foreign country for no reason? Urhm...no.

And I was in the military!

If people and their family/friends are given enough to live comfortably, are safe, and have a certain level of freedom, the vast majority of humans become quite peaceful.

Eventually technology will give us all that. So if we survive another thousand years or so, I believe war will go the way of the catapult. Just another footnote in the history files.

All it takes is for one person to have one good idea. Maybe the answer is so obvious it's been overlooked. Maybe AI is the answer. Still, light speed is a bit of a slow boat when it comes to interstellar distances. Wormholes perhaps?

True, depending on the psychology of the individuals. Certain high ranking terrorists are hardly short of a buck or two. But I guess they don't represent the vast majority.

Last night I heard the "prophet" do an interview and he sounded very sincere, another witness sounded true about these summonings of ufos. The "prophet" tried to sum it up by saying when people speak of "heaven" -- where do they point? He goes on by saying people are too afraid to think these 'orbs' are a sign from the 'heavens'.

For me, I think it's ok to let him believe what he wants... He goes on and says he's not a cult..etc.. and has shown others how to "call" the ufos. He said this is not a power, but he is being told to do this..

It could be the news video is faked somehow, and he can't "call" ufos, because if he could, the government would be all over him and make him disappear.

------

Funny how Travis Walton was the next to be interviewed - 30 years after the "A Fire in the Sky Incident"... That's another Thread... :D

I've never heard of one having a propeller at all but sure- they make erratic turns, hover silently, disappear suddenly into the night sky. But then I'd find about anything more credible than a for -profit prophet.

No matter, what's surprising is he did it, he got a ufo to show...

Now. I'd really like to see his "big" claim. He said a huge craft will be over Las Vegas for the whole city to see.. This will take place between 6/1 and 7/15.

Uh - ok.... :D Get your cameras....

Per the actual word- something flying that isnt identified, sure.

Is whatever object this guy 'called up' a ufo? I suppose, as long as it cant be identified. But Im not so sure it cant. I havent seen any expert opinions on this case, and I certainly wouldnt consider non-expert opinion lines like 'moving in an impossible manner' to have any merit either.

I have this book about unexplained mysteries and it has stuff about aliens in it. It says that some people who claim to be abducted were pregnant but after being abducted the fetus is gone. It says that in the case of it being a womans first pregnancy there are no signs of it being delivered, and there are no signs of it being removed either. Hmmm...

I think this is one of those things that currently can't be proved or disproved. We'll have to see, maybe the big UFO will be more convincing. Although, if these are from the heavens, why is bothering to call them UFOs? Shouldn't they then be angels or some such thing?

And my two cents, I think there's life on other plants. Not highly developed intellegent life anywhere close to Earth, but I think there's life. Just because Earth is the only planet in the galaxy that could support mammals, birds, reptiles, and such organisms doesn't mean there aren't whole other types of organisms we don't know about yet.

Joe..I've been putting some thought to it. How can you call something if you don't have some prearrangement to come on a certain signal? You have to train a dog to come when you call.
To me...it's not a UFO to him, he knows what it is.

If UFO's just picked up on someones vibes that they wanted one to show up, we'd have made contact by now. Well..maybe we did at Rozwell...who knows what happened out there.

This so called "prophet" guy is supposed to "call" more UFO's down from 6/1 to 7/15 if I'm not mistaken on the dates. One of them is supposed to be large enough of for all of Las Vegas to see..

We'll see.........
