When doing a tour of just about every LFS in my town yesterday, I came across a few clown (ringlet) plecos. I already have a really small Ancistrus Triradiatus in my 15 gallon, he's getting moved to a 30 gallon in the next 2 weeks (i'll probably have to catch him with some PVC pipe, he's really fast). Anyways.

The 30 gallon will also be stocked with around 13 black neons, 7 bronze cories, a pair of dwarf flag cichlids (Laetacara curviceps), and possibly a pair of bolivian rams (depending on how the flags turn out, I may just get 4 flags). Would the clown pleco fit in there with the ancistrus without territory issues? Or should I forget about it?

TIA
Ryan.

Given enough stocking space, they will gt along fine--but I wouldn't put two heavy waste producers in with all the other fish you're planning.

Thanks Oriongirl.

I had a feeling that would be the case. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to get more tanks. :p

clown plecos are extremely territorial. they need their space and prefer driftwood.

Yeah, clowns are very territorial. Mine will push away any fish that comes near the entrance of his cave except the glass catfish that live in there with him.
