Well last night before I went to bed I transfered my 2 blackskirt tetras from my 10 and into my new 30 gallon. This morning i woke up and saw that they were spawning!! There was eggs all over the tank but mostly in the java moss. My questions are
1.) Does this mean that the water condintions are healthy(tank has been set up for 2 days, but i used old biowheel so i think it was a instant cycle)
2.) How long for eggs to hatch?
3.) How big are fry?
4.) How many usualy hatch?

Congrats, I'm jealous!! I can't help with the other questions (sorry!), but about the water quality, you have a test kit right? You very well might have been able to instantly cycle the tank, but you should still check all the water conditions to make sure. If you don't have a kit, buy one, or take a water sample to your LFS and have them do it. You should check it every other day or so for a week, just to be safe. If it did not cycle, you will need to know so that you can keep up on water changes to make sure you don't lose any fish because the amonia or nitrite got too high! Good luck, hope you get some fry!!

Well I think it instantly cycled because I got no ammonia no nitrite 5 nirtate. one more question... how long before these fry are free swimming? I already have fry tank set up from when i had balloon molly and guppy fry so once i can catch them they are going in there. Are Balck Skirts easy to breed or are they considered difficult?
