I went out on Friday to get micro worms and/or grindal worms for my gobies and thought that it would be Ok to feed them these. What I found was the smallest in the store...mini-red wrigglers. No doubt they gave my fish hours of hunting and pecking but they didn't kill/eat it--BUT they were very excited and attentive during the whole process.

My thoughts are...maybe my fish are too little as of yet, but the worms may be way big and I tried to cut them up and almost up-chucked. (sorry) The worms acted like they were in the death theros...probably were, but why did they make me feel bad??? They are just worms.

I looked on the Internet for a possible easier way to feed them worms, but I didn't find much information...the only thing I can think of is scissors (yuck), sharp knives (double yuck) or food processor (easy for me). LOL

Any advice on feeding worms/live food to fledgling killers??? I guess I don't have little Hannibal Lecters in my tank and it would be easier for me if I did.

theres a thing called a feeding comb. It is in the shape of a cone with the pointed end full of small holes. You just put the worms in the circle side and they sink to the pointed side with the worms wiggling out the holes. Oh, yeah, it floats. Sounds like you have rather large worms, I use blackworms in mine. Honestly, I dont know how well the BBGs will take to it because I jut got mine this weekend and havent tried it yet.

By the way, if knives and scissors dont tickle your fancy you could always just pull em apart :D
