i got a 20 gallon thats being a bugger on trying to kick the green ......so im wondering if i can put my uv my coralife twister on it......i used it on my 125 and it kicked the algae in a week.......so on a 20 gallon i figure a couple of days and some water changes should do the trick.....i mean the plants are already showing signs of dying prolly from lack of light from the green water....what do u all think?

I think it's a good temporary fix. However, you still need to get to the root of the problem. If you're lucky, these are just basic new tank problems. I would add several groups of bunched plants to aide in removing phosphates and excess nutrients. As your tank establishes itself and the "newness" wears off, you'll probably find yourself removing the bunched plants because they're a bear to keep trimmed.

I'll say, my Hygros are taking off, and I'm kinda regretting I planted them in the first place :D

As for the UV, I think it's a good, temporary solution, as FishSeller said. Of course, keep up with the water changes to remove the dead algae, make sure you check your filter(s) too, just in case they get clogged up.
