I did a partial water change, cleaned the filters, vaccuumed the gravel, etc..The water was clear and beautiful for a couple of days, but now, it's back to cloudy.. Also? If I put something in the water to control algae growth, what will it do to my picasomas (algae-eater)?? Will he starve to death??

The cloudy water was probably caused by the bactiria in the gravel, you must of stirred it up. The way to get ride of it is to do alot of water changes, it might take a while last time I had it, it took me over a month to get rid of it. Another way to get ride of it is a Vortex Freedom Filter.

What color is your algae ?

Thanks for getting back to me!

The water is a smokey-gray...I'll keep cleaning the rocks if that's what it will take...It was all new, and I rinsed it well before I added it to the tank..

What sort of gravel/rocks did you add recently? Some substrates have lots of dust that can cause cloudiness.

Are your ammonia and nitrite levels at zero? If those are OK, cloudy water generally poses no threat to the fish.
