Hello All,
Can someone tell me if I am doing the right thing by completely filling my Juwel 96 (96ltrs) with soft water in preparation for the 6 new Goldfish I intend on housing in there?
Should I have gone 50-50, or is introducing them to the soft water from the off-set the right thing to do? The soft water is coming through a Kinetico 2020c. :help:

That tank is way too small for 6 gf's I think 50 gallons is the minimum for gf's because of their monster size and bioload.

50 gallons per goldfish would be ideal.
In an aquarium, fancy varieties of goldfish do well. Commets and commons, etc, are awsome in ponds.
sorry, I don't know much about soft water for goldfish either. but I do know that any change in water quality should always be done gradualy to reduce shock.

I allow a minimum of 30 US gallons per goldfish, particular fancies will get larger tanks as they develop.

I don't quite understand the reasoning behind the softened water. Goldfish are not soft-water fish, and need significant KH to buffer in the face of their heavy biolad.
