10g and 5g stock suggestions

10gal I recommend maybe 3 or 4 corydoras they are always entertaining

another cool fish I had that I CANT Find again was something I bought years ago and had for a good 2 years. They were what they called Freshwater drawf groupers (Im assuming an AKA name) that only got to be about 3" I had 3 of em. NEVER seen them again. They looked exactly like groupers except small with a spotted brown/grey/white pattern (I Cant remember if they were brackish or not).

hmm....also maybe dwarf gouramis? I dont know I dont have much experience with smaller mid-swimmers. but cories definately get my first bet.

as for the 5 gal...maybe a couple of tetras and a few plants?

Holy Moly, Theres a fish that looks like a saltwater grouper and stays only 3 inch, I must have this fish. the grouper is on my top 3 of salt water fish but the only reason i dont have one is because they get like 1 foot and they require saltwater. I will find it!!

Im with you on the grouper thing....absolutely one of the coolest saltwater fish. Ive done my share of looking (not a lot though) but I will try to see what I can turn up.

Im going to assume with all the research Ive done as of yet that its not an exact subspecies but more of just a common name so keep that in mind.

EDIT: I just remember I took pictures of the little guys that I MAY still have on my old computer. this should get interesting

w00t!!!!

FOUND IT! I rule the internet :D

anyway scientific name: Vespicula depressifrons

Common name: Butterfly waspfish. Often sold in the US as a butterfly goby or freshwater butterfly grouper.

oh and I found this website with tons of pictures and a lil bit of info

http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%20Butterfly%20Goby%20or%20Wasp%20Fishl.htm

I found them to be quite interesting. with my 3 they tended to school around during feedingtime. during the day they would "lounge" around on the sand unless there was a reason to get up but they were pretty active otherwise

i sent you a pm XseanX

and for your tank hurdledude here is what i would do if i couldnt do a betta tank or wasp fish...
5 gallon
-1 dwarf honey gourami or a flame gourami
-3 panda cories (theyre the smallest)

10 gallon
- 4 or 5 indian dwarf puffers
- 2 ottos
