I recently added fish to my tank after doing a fishless cycle. The LFS where I was didn't have all the fish that I wanted, so my tank is (I hope) relatively lightly stocked right now. It's a 45g, which means 36"x12"x24", with plants and Excel to be replaced by CO2.

My current stocking level is...

4 platies (which will be 7 counting the three in my other tank)
4 cherry barbs
5 black neon tetras

I'd like to also add 4-5 otos and 5-6 cories.

If add those guys, will the tank be full, or could I add some more of the other types (i.e, a few more barbs and tetras)?

Thanks!

yea the tank will pretty well be full. you shouldn't put too much more than 20 fish in a 45 gallon, but I think you can stalk a little heavier because they are schooling/shoaling fish?

Your tank will be full.

So, the tank will be full, but it'll be fine to add the cories and the otos as I had listed?

I would actually wait a bit before I added Otos but the Cories should be fine.

I would actually wait a bit before I added Otos but the Cories should be fine.
Both of them will wait a couple of weeks, as I'm going out of town the next couple of weekends and don't want to buy fish until I can be certain to observe them.

It should be fine.
The corys would keep the bottom of the tank, and the rest of your current fish are middle to top.
I would worry a little about the height of the tank, since most corys will shoot up the surface to gulp some air for their bladders - totally normal.
If you go with the corys, watch them a little to make sure they are not struggling to make it to the surface.
