Hi, I am looking for suggestiongs for a very flashy fish to go into a 10 gal, with two fully grown honey gourami's (2").

My only requirments are

Very colourfull
active
Peacful !!!

My tank is very peacful and nice now and I just want a fish for the centerpiece

Well, I would suggest I male betta, but the honey gouramis and the betta will most likely not get along, so that is out of the question. Maybe a male guppy? But they need to have females to be content. How about a small group of white cloud minnows? They're quite beautiful when healthy and under good lighting. Mine look great in my ten gallon. Very active and playful as well.

Those are nice but I already have white clouds in another tank. I was looking for more of a single big flashy fish, like an apisto (sp?) or something of that nature.

German Blue Rams colorful enough ?? They're peaceful and will get along fine with your gouramis. They get about 3 inches when full grown. You don't want to put more than one or two in a 10 gallon though...and if you have 2 make sure they are a bonded pair.

Here's a pic of one of my pairs. The female has the rosey belly.

and if blue rams dont do it for you, there is also the golden rams. I saw some at a new fish store in Portland, quite impressive

I have a thing for phantoms. Theyre really cool if you get them in a small shoal.

Discus are a whole other care level. I would not suggest them for someone starting out. Get some expirience under your belt before thinking about them, they are expensive, and easy to kill if you don't know what your doing.
