Photo in the News: "Bionic" Car Fueled by Fishy Ideas

You know, you would think they would pick a better looking fish than a boxfish. I really dont understand why the current trend is to have box shaped cars.

This is a quote from the article:

"Engineers patterned the vehicle on the boxfish's unique features, mimicking the fish's streamlined profile to improve the car's aerodynamics,..."

"Streamlined profile" of a blowfish? ............ :D ... ...

fish shaped cars

personally, I think the original stingray 'vettes worked out much better.
I still have to laugh at the story about getting the colors right on the car, though-repaint the fish to match the car!

I actually really like that car. Beauty isn't everything ya know. Practicality can be appreciated too. For instance, boxiness increases stability AND the amount of space inside. So you can put a carseat in easier, or haul a bigger fishtank in the rear seat. And you'd always be able to find that car in a parking lot! :D I'd like to see the inside. Hmmmm. Is it fashioned after the fish too? :dive:
