Thanks, guys. Yes, he is indeed fat - he's got a belly full of freeze-dried krill in that photo. :)

AWESOME!!!
However, next time look into buying from oliver lucanus... he has a wide variety of pike cichlids at a MUCH lower price than rapps does...

LOL at Slappy. :D
Is Oliver Lucanus the Below Water guy? Aren't they in Canada?
Thanks, Mo. It's coming along very well. I just hate Thursdays. That's the day I've got the "Water Changin' Blues":
14 tanks and what do ya get?
Another day older & deeper in debt...

Crenicichla, unless you are planning on driving to Montreal to pick up the fish you need to contend with customs and Fish & Wildlife when shipping them into the U.S. By the time you pay for all of the fees associated with this you could be looking at $300 just for transport. It would take allot of $10 pike to justify the cost and hassle. Paying Jeff $45 and getting just 2 fish is probably cheaper and easier in the long run.
By the way, I just got three Cr. acutirostris pikes from Jeff... VERY cool fish!!

what is the scientific name for a cobra pike?

Yes, I thought they were in Canada. And the point Marcus makes is exactly why I asked. I haven't found anyone other than Jeff that I would order from.
The cobra pike is a gorgeous fish, and Steve - at this point there is no scientific name for it. It's just labeled Crenicichla sp. "Cobra."

Do you have any links to where I can get some info on them?
