What a sad race. I still don't understand. Micheline knew how the track was setup, why didn't they fix their tires before the race? At the begining of season, the Bridgestone tires weren't great, and they never complained, instead they raced, and didn't get great finishes. this time though, Michelin says how their tires aren't safe for this course, and rather than having rectified the problem beforehand, they decided to come up with a solution to make the race slower for everyone, which the federation refused, (which in my opinion makes sense), and only the guys with Bridgestone tires raced.

And now, the federation, including the ferrari team looks like the bad guys.

I do feel bad for the fans though... Spent money to see what wasn't a real race...

I was watching on TV...

It was definately a poor situation, and I'm sure that I don't know all relevant information.

But I did read that there were problems with IRL + Nascar where practice sessions had to be stopped / postponed because of tire problems with the new surface on the track. If that's the case, I'd personally be interested in knowing how much testing Michelin did or were able to do.

At this moment I don't personally disagree with anyone, outside of the folks saying that it wasn't much of a race.
