alright...
I have one 10G hospital aquarium i use for treatment, one 10G with mollies used for breeding, a 29G aquarium with 4 ID Sharks, 4 Bala Sharks, 7 assorted mollies, 2 plecos, and a blue lobster, a 55G aquarium with 5 cichlids, and a pleco, and in the process of building my 750G aquarium for my basement. (should be done here in a few weeks...)

My question is with my 29G aquarium, my first mistake was overstocking. I origanally had 9 more mollies that I transfered in back into the 10G aquarium I have, as well as a few goiuramis and 6 tiger barbs. My second mistake was not researching what fish I bought. I realize that ID sharks get extremely big and i've noticed after the 29G just got done cycling and they gret a inch in the last month. I also learned that my bala sharks should roughly reach 12 inches, and recently i had 5 cichlids and one pleco given to me from a friend and i know now that plecos are not small fish at all either...
anyways, thats why i'm building my 750G acrylic aquarium and i will also do a fishless cycle as well. but the problem i'm having right now is that some of my fish regardless of my testing the water regularly and the results show 0 for all the N's they seem a little odd. My ID Sharks in paticular.. the female has under gone the most stress and she is starting to shimmy and yawn every once in a while. When I first noticed that shimmy it scared me and I did a 30% water change and am doing another 30 tomarrow, since my water conditions from tap are not ideal I have been letting large amounts of water dechlorimate by itself (as most peopel know it takes time.) The only thing I can think of it I've not always done water changes this way, i used to use a dechloriminator from my LPS, I started using stress coat during fish cycling, and used prime ones until i read that it contained hydro sulfite i was always under stood that was bad for any living organism? i dunno looking for some advice I guess.. any will help.

What could be causing my fish to shimmy and yawn is this normal? i dont think it is, i could be wrong though... I've also seen my cichlids shimmy and yawn but they seem fine besides one that is being harass non stop by all the other ones.. (he will be moved to a bigger hospital aquarium very soon.)
I had a ID shark that had Ich after i bought him from wal mart (bad mistake) He was shimmying too when he had ich but i just thought it was because he had ICH!@ i treated him very carefully in my 10G hosp aquarium and he seems to be suprisingly well now (besides that fact that he's all by himself.)
if anyone has any suggestions or needs more information i'm looking for some help..

one more question... my 29G has yet to lose a white cloudy looking tint to it will this eventually go away or do i need to change more than 30% of my water next time?

The white cloudy look is most likely a bacteria cloud and it sounds to me like the tank is not yet cycled. The shimmy as you put it, could be a reaction to the elevated nutrients, or just the fact that they have some sort of irritaion that would more than likely be caused by the rising nutrients. It is hard to tell without seeing the fish in person. All fish yawn, but whether your fish yawning is due to the water quality, again it is hard to tell. How big is the ID shark now?
Just a question are going to build the 750g by your self?

i hope thats the case...

the ID sharks are about 2 to 2 1/2 inches long now (largest male about 3 1/2 inches long..). the males are alot darker than the females and have a shark point on the anal fin (which I'm sure ya know.. ) i'm sure that its not done with the cycle as you said because of the cloud.. what i meant is that the 3 N's are saying 0 according to my test kits..

no i'm not building the 750 myself i just bought everything that i need for it and its sitting at my uncles shop that builds pools and built his 1500G aquarium.. i just have to wait for him to have enough time to build me mine.. hopefully in the next couple of weeks..

i have a question though.. i would also like to build a 200G for my room any suggestions?

You are probably better off buying one built ,it would be cheaper. As for the uncycled tank, I would do daily 50% water changes until it cycles completely.
Do you have any pics of the 1500g?

no i dont but i'll get some, i'm not at my uncles very often...i'm getting new batteries for my digital cam tomarrow so i'll post them asap.

Great . Whats has he got in that tank?

chlorine and chloramines both.. seems to be working fine so far.. the water just has to be treated for free ammonia.. its just takes way to long i'm considering just deciding on one good dechlorimantor to use... that gets rid of all three of them.. I know stress coat works for chlorine and chlorimines but not for ammonia.. prime works for all threee plus nitrites and nitrates, but is it completely safe? i just worry alot about osmotic stress on my fish especially when they are small tanks..
my uncle has a 1500G oscar tank. Last time I talked to him I was trying to talk him into getting some cichlids too..
