I just dosed with amquel plus, and almost instantly my neons/bloodfins/and blleding hearts started going crazy,, they aree swimming around (disoriented) i just literally watched a Neon tetra die, and my pleco scared the hell out of me, he came flying out of his hideout swam super fast to the top and darted back down again, i thought he was gonna jump out
Whats happeneing, ive used this before and didnt seem to have any problems.
Help me please =(
Ill do a water change while i wait for replies

It cant be that stuff. Check your ammoina. nitrite, nitrate, and pH leves.

ammonia was a little high, has been at zero for weeks same with nitrites and nitrates have been at around 5ppm, ammonia spiked up recently to 5ppm, fish showed no signs of any problems until about 20-30 minutes after i added the Amquel, i agree with you i don't think its the Amquel, for i have used it before, however thats a big coincidence 20-30 minutes after i does, maybe even less,
I have currently lost 12 out of 15 fish with 5 mollies remaining one pleco and 3 tetras that are definantly not going to make it thru the night the way they look
I know i am a newbie, but logic tells me that something drastic and immediate had to have happen for that many fish to die so suddenly, and the only thing i can put my finger on is the amquel

Ya. Ammoina and nitrite HAVE to be at 0ppm. 5ppm of nitrite is deadly. Did you cycle your tank?

OMG! I'm so sorry about the problems you are having!
I lost 11 fishes when I moved them from 1 tank to another. No idea what happened but thats in past. Its nothing like yours...
I'm curious... how big is the tank? I've never used Amquel before, I recently started using ammo-lock.
::EDIT:: I've had a lot of problems with ammoinia but never lost fishes that way. Yet...

I don't believe that the levels they were will instantly kill all the fish at once, I can see if i had off teh charts amounts of ammonia and nitrites and nitrates but even then you would see signs at first before death. these fish showed no signs of stress or any problems until 20-30 minutes after dosing with amquel, yes the tank was cycled, ammonia and nitrites have been 0 for at least 2 weeks and nitrates have been no higher than 5ppm, had a small spike of ammonia this weekend, did several water changes since then, ammonia was around 5.0ppm added the amquel and bam there all gone now plus one mollie

Thanks, In my Experience (albeit short experience) ammo-lock sucks, and gives false positives. i have had better success (till now) with amquel plus.
its a 30gallon(US) tank

Did you add Amquel Plus with a water change? Have you tested your tap water? Any changes in water quality in your area? Could the water company have changed their treatment methods recently, especially due to heavy rains/flooding? Could they have switched from chlorine treatment to chloramine (some water conditioners need to be used in double doses for chloramine)?

5 ppm of amonia is VERY high, it does not take much for amonia poisoning. Do you know exactly how long it was that high? Do you know what might have caused it to spike that way? How long has the tank been running, and how big is it?
