I'm going away for 10 days, and will have someone come in to feed the fish. I've got 4 platies & an amano shrimp that will be fed once a day (or maybe every other day). I also have 13 fry in a breeder net in that tank (new tank not set up yet). I've been feeding them finely crushed food 2x per day. I think it would be too much to have someone come in twice a day to feed them....how often do they need to be fed while I'm away? Will they be okay with one feeding per day? What about every other day?

I think all the fish would be fine with every other day. I hate to admit it, but I have 3 platy fry in a breeder net and sometimes I forget about them 
. They occasionally miss a day or two of feeding and have been just fine, they've been in there for several weeks, maybe thats why they're growing so slow

Thanks, Holly. Do you think that they could go any longer than that for feeding? Could all the fish do with just 2 or 3 feedings over the course of the 10 days I'm gone? Or would I risk losing the fry?
