Hey guys... I am curious if anyone can tell me what nutrient is missing to cause brown disinegrating leaves on my Amazon swords and my java fern. Take a look at the pics to see what I mean.

I won't give you all my levels because I know I'm just missing something. I am doseing with dry KNO3 and Traces with a dry compound as well. Use Fleet Enema for P.

I am probably Iron defiecient I think but figured why not ask the pros :)

I believe java ferns leaves actually turn brown or black as they die off and make room for the new growth. On my java fern, I just pinch off the ones with black and it is growing like crazy. I do not have CO2, it's low light, and I dose with a liquid fertilizer once per week. My java fern is on a piece of driftwood.

As for the sword, I don't know what to say. Mine started doing that and it ends up I had it planted too deep in the substrate. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along to help you!
