yo
this tuesday im getting a 37g high eclipse tank. i wanted to put a pair of medium angels in there.perhaps i can be persuaded to chage my mind. anyways im definitly getting some cories(so cute) . mts+mystery snails
since the ''cleanup crew'' is taken care of im not sure what to get. i love rams and apistos(little expensive though)plus they might get picked on by the angels(when they get big)im considering a butterfly (not a mixer with neons)but then again id like a shoal of tetras(emperors, phantoms i dont know)anyways i cant pick. if anybody with experince could reccomend a nice combination id be happy. im also worried that the low ph an th im gonna keep in there will dissolve the snail shells.angels would be nice as i said but that lowers my option for community fish.would emperors get picked on(1 male 2 females)?anyways ill have some time to thik about it before the tank repopulates it bactrial colony(its already established with an oscar and plecos though the ammonia levels in there must be nasty.plus ill have to customise the filter a bit to perform better(custom media ect)also in time would 2 angels get to big in the 37g(the lfs has paired couples)
im so confused   :read:

If it's a paired couple, the 37g should be fine for the angels. I'm not sure what PH you plan on having, but anything less than 7.4 is bad for mystery snails, they will get shell erosion, even with plenty of calcium. THe MTS should do O.K. though. As for what else to put in there, I'm not sure. I"d hold off on the other cichlids (apistos or rams) and go with a sizeable shoal of something or other, perhaps the emperor tetras? or maybe some red/blue colombians or congo tetras if you can find them... Oh, and not all angels are nice to snails, so I"d watch that too...
