I have some great news!!! After massive water changes(50-60%) a day for the last 5 or 6 days I have managed to get my nitrites down from 5 to 1, and my nitrates down from 200 to 20. Everything else is fine. Hardness 50, alkalinity 80-120, ammonia 0, and pH 6.8-7.2. I did not lose any fish duruing this spike and I am so happy. They really are very tuff little fish. Here are some pics of them. I am going to continue water changes for the next few days to get the nitrites down to 0. Then Its time to add a couple more fish.
