I read on one of the u.v. descriptions from big als, that the sterilizer removes yeast in the water. Will this have an affect on DiY CO2 sinse you use yeast?

Basically (no expert here..), CO2 is the by-product from the DIY CO2 bottle. Hopefully yeast is not plentiful in your tank. :)
