new catfish, some sort of pictus as far as i know... help?

So i'm on a vacation of sorts (this inn has wireless, yay!) and i decided to check out the internet and find some local fish shops. found a place that looked interesting... "All Wet Pets Inc" in Flushing, MI and drove out to it. pretty nice little shop. Anyways, after drooling over an 8" clown loach and a Merodontotus Tigrinus for a while, i found a tank with some 4-line pictus. hiding in the back under a piece of slate was another catfish that i wanted a closer look at, so one of the guys working there came back and moved the rock and out he came. the man informed me that they had looked him up at one point and he had since forgotten what it was, but it had come in with the 4-lines and so he sold it to me at the same price ($8).

now, hes similar in shape, a little slimmer and has no markings, spots or stripes that i can tell at this point. hes kinda brownish or maybe bronze colored and about 4" long.

any ideas?
 
Could be a silver tip shark? Hard to guess without a pic, can you post a pic?

its not any sort of shark catfish.... it looks almost identical to the four line pictus.... same long whiskers, same dorsal, etc.

im not at home, so i cant get a picture right now.

imagine a run of the mill pictus cat.... ok, this is identical, just brown rather than b/w spots or stripes, and it is just mildly slimmer.

well, i knew my weakness would hit me while i was here.... so saddly enough, i braught a 10 gallon bucket (with lid) filled with my tank water and a battery opperated pump with me.


please dont laugh at me.... im sick :help: :duh:
 
dunno without seeing a pic of it but to me it sounds like some sort of raphael cat.
