You should be all set. I get my rocks from a local building supply store. They have tons of rocks, although sometimes it's tough to tell what type it is. Look around the forums for bad types of rocks. You could always do the vinegar test. Or keep them in a bucket and test the water hardness.

But if you did all that and just want to clean them, I think you are all set.

Ok i took some of the rocks out to let them dry and see how there doing. They all made my kitchen smell like shell food was being boiled or grilled...is that good?
And some of the rocks gor some green plants im guessing algea? and 2 big rocks got red spots that look like rust...so i decided to keep boiling them and see how they turn out.

What do you think thos redspots and green plant moss like things are, and are they safe?

If you boil them good, I couldn't see them causing any harm... (other than if the are carbonate based)

they were referring to how it may distort your carbonate hardness or GH, basically your hardness of your water.. What kind of fish will be int he 29G tank? I've collected alot of rocks from my pool area and did pretty much the same thing as you did. You can do the vinegar test, drop vinegar on the rock and see if it boils but since you've already cleaned the rocks i would just put them in you tank and check the hardness in a few days or a week to see if it changes..
