asking a LFS to get certain fish

When you ask a LFS to get certain fish for you do you have to get lots or can they order jsut one or 2? Like is there a min. that they have to get and will they expect you to get them all.

Like say if the fish isn't too common, so they might not be able to sell it.

It all really depends on the LFS.

I would try ordering from www.thatfishplace.com They have recently gone full tilt with the live fish delivery thing. I haven't ordered any fish from there yet but I received a catalog that had quite a selection at reasonable prices.

I would rather not order anyhtign online.Since i live in canada it costs a fortune.

Depending upon the fish I would look for a club or such. For Africans...don't you have the CRLA up there?? Canadian Rift Lake Assoc. or something like that? I would look for a aquaria club. They are a new world once you experience them.

I'm part of the aquarium club here, but I missed the auctiont that was jsut a few weeks ago. ANd have talked about getting fish from one of the members but that fell through.

the LFS's around here ( beay area, CA) will take custom orders if you come there a lot and if you put a deposit down, tell the LFS that you will place a deposit and they will probably let you get any fish you want.
