I think these shrimp are red tails but maybe someone else knows better.

They are red and have a yellow/white stripe running down their back (much like amanos). They also have yellow/white bands along their body. Their tails are red but completely outlined with yellow/white. Any ideas?

How large are they? Under what heading did you obtain them?

They were called algae eating shrimp, I thought they'd all be amano shrimp. There were some amanos in there, and then these guys, who's colors really intensified when I put them in my tank. They aren't wood shrimp, they have normal algae eating type claws. Right now they're about the same size as the amanos, maybe 3/4 of an inch long? (oh I am bad at eyeballing measurements). I've looked around on the internet and the closest I could come up with was the red tailed, for the life of me I can't find the website I used though. Also I saw both the shrimp I have today and only one of them has bands on it.

Thanks for the help.

EDIT: I was just looking at them and one seems a lot paler now. Perhaps it can change colors? The stripe and that are still there and everything, just the red is almost clear now.
