well my betta bred. it is a albino split tail betta. not really albino. he has purple on his body but has white fins and when he flare u cant see the things on his gills. its clear. Well i breed him with a normal round tail female that is black and blue. Can i turn off the light at night. will the eegs fall out of the nest. i cant wait till the baby gets older. i wonder if they are going to be split tail or not. well tell me what ya think about it.

I think you should be able to turn off the lights at night. I can't tell you if the fishes resulting from the spawn will be split tail or not. I'm don't know anything about genetics (except the punnet squares, lol :)). I remember having a book about bettas and there was a long section on betta genetics and getting desirable results from breeding, but it would have confused me if I read it. I hope your baby fry do well. :)
