The story:
"Just before Hurricane Charlie hit this area in 2004, my wife Betty found this on the beach. We forgot about it in the aftermath of the storm, so it sat in a bag in a cabinet. We live in an area that caught the full impact of the storm and many homes in the immediate area were damaged severely or destroyed. Ours had very little damage in comparison. Recently we had a occasion to clean out the cabinet and time to really look at what she had found. It seems to be a bone structure of some type animal/fish. It has not been altered in any way. It really looks awesome in person.
I wonder if this was the reason we fared so well through the storm. I won't use the word miracle but we were more then lucky.

This bone is the underside of a large saltwater catfish. They all have this bone structure. It is a common find in Florida... Nothing spectacular here, except for those who have not seen it.
