Currently I have a 29 gallon tank with 5 harlequin rasboras, 5 cherry barbs, 2 golden wonder killifish, and 1 chinese algae eater.

My plan is too keep what I have but to add at least 4 hetermorpha espei, which are similar to the the harlequins, so I hope they'll school together. then I have 4 rummynose in a quarantine tank, and I want to buy more so I'll have 9-12 total.

Then I'll add a red ramshorn snail, which I've heard doesn't eat plants.

so my final tank setup would be the 9 rasboras, 5 cherry barbs, 2 killifish, 1 chinese algae eater, 9-12 rummy nose, and a red ramshorn snail.

what do you guys think ? Any problems or things to be improved? I have very soft acidic water, so I might not do the snail because the shell would have problems. I look forward to any ideas or suggestions.

I think your final numbers are very high for a 29 gallon tank. Also, with two schools already, I personally see no need to add another. I would focus on getting rid of the chinese algae eater (unless it's a must have for you) as they really are not good algae eaters, especially as they mature, and also because they can become quite aggressive as they age. The two least killifish I assume are your show fish and I think they are just on the verge living in a 29 gallon. I feel adding another shoal would make the tank not only too crowded, but too busy. Is there any chance you could simply round the schoolers you already have to 6 or 7 each?

"5 harlequin rasboras, 5 cherry barbs, 2 golden wonder killifish"

Maybe keep it at that? Plus or minus a few fish.
