I have pairs of convict cichlids in two different aquariums of mine. In my 20g they started to move gravel out of flower pot I put in there. This was a week ago and the pair in my 55g are not doing anything. Is there anything I can do to speed up the breeding process or should I just wait. I have been doing everything else the same. Water changes and such. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
E

are you sure you have a male and a female? Sometimes the males can display colorful fins.... Most times you dont have to do anything to get convicts to breed even in adverse situations they will still breed. Have you checked your water parameters? Did you provide them with some kind of cave?

Ya i am positive I have a male and a female in each group. I can tell by their dorsal fins. Yes I gave each group a pot to nest in. Keep doing daily water changes so that isn't it. Will just have to wait I guess.
