I got my tank second hand, and she gave me this plant with it. It floats around in a big ball, its branches are long and skinny, and its leaves are very very tiny and close to the long branches. Its kinda like a big hairball lol. Im just wondering what it is - and if its ok to have in my goldfish tank?

It could be java moss. Your goldfish would enjoy it one way or another. Typically it is a challenge to find plants to grow that gold fish won't eat.

Yep! I looked up a pic and thats what it is - thanks! Yes my goldfish do eat it. ANy tips on care for it?

Java moss requires very little care and your goldfish will probably provide all the nutrients it needs. You could tie some onto driftwood or rocks for a nice effect.
