What is happening? So much Sickness!

Four Days ago I saw the beginning of Ich in my Tank. I removed the carbon filter, raised the temp abit, and added the required amount of Quick Cure. I've only ever had Ich twice before in my last 10 years of fish keeping. and both times the above treatment worked.

Now however, Ich is running rampant, I have a cherry barb swimming at the top of the tank and half of it's body seems sort of paralyzed, and one of my clown loaches' tail is all shredding and he is acting very twitchy and perculiar.

I have never dealt with anything like this and I am OUTTA MY MIND!!!!

Sounds like there's something else going on, doesn't it. I have no idea what--I can only suggest a step that might help alleviate whatever the problem is--a large (40%?) water change and then redose with the ich med?

Hopefully more knowledgeable folks will kick in here.

Are you sure it's ick and not Amlyoodiumium (velvet)? The latter IME is much more destructive than ick, and it spreads unbelievably quick. I've also seen it get bad enough to cause the "paralysis" you describe in your one fish.
