a firefish are cool little fish. also a ocerallis clownfish, or a yellowtail or blue damsel are also good fish for a smaller tnak. i wouldnt put more than two fish in a 10 gallon. 1 fish would be better but if u kept of with waterchanges u could keep 2. i think the best combo would be a clown and a firefish.

Dottybacks are small, colorful and easy to keep.

What kind of equipment were you thinking of getting?

I have a 10g tank. Im planning on a pistol shrimp, watchman goby, and either a barbarshop goby or a firefish. I think with those three its pretty much stocked.

I have a 10 gallon tank set up for hosting local Puget Sound marine critters. It has been running for about a month and the main resident is a little rock crab that is the sole survivor of eight. The others all climbed the filter tubes and tried a new life as apartment cockroaches (found dead one by one).

There are also a number of barnacles on a few rocks that are living, a dozen min-shrimp dudes, several mini-sea anemones, and a bunch of leftover mussel shells (died a few weeks into the tank's time in business).

The crab is doing well and loves what ever he gets for food - mainly aquatic turtle food pellets.

Getting ready to take some samples of the filter water to see what might be viewable in my digital microscope I got from Wal-Mart a couple years back. Was a great buy at $20 liquidation rate, and I get some awesome photos at several high magnification settings.

by the way, when I upgrade my wimpy filter to something with more current flow I'll be bringing in new folks to try out the neighborhood.
