I think my Gourami is sick/dying.......

I don't remember what kind he is (looks like a frog to me).

He has paled out some and is sitting on the bottom and is hardly moving, to get to the surface or mid tank he has to swim hard with i=his side fins and if he stops he falls back down.

He is about 2 1/2 inches long and has been in this tank since I got him (almost 2 years ago).

Any ideas or help??

What are your ammonia, nitrites and nitrates?

All my parameters are nice and consistant.............

Always have Ammonia at 0
Nitites at 0
and Nitrates never get above 25

It is too late for him any way, I just checked again and he is DOA...........Got him out and now will do a water change.

Now I have to go get another fish to take his place, he was a great looking one, could he have just gotten old?

That's pretty sad that your gourami died :sad:. It always makes me sad when I see a dead fish in my aquarium. Was he just pale or did he have white patches on him?

I thought they could live a bit longer than that, but its possible. Plus, it may have had some odd health problem that was not obvious, or treatable. I think your tank looks good, I wouldn't worry about it. But it is frustrating when you can't figure out what happened :confused: . Could something have gotten into the tank? cleaning products, or anything like that?
By the way, what size tank was it?
