I've been investigating some T5 light fixtures, such as those from Sunlight Supply (Tek Light T5 (http://www.sunlightsupply.com/aquarium/products/lighting_fixture.shtml)) or some of the German made ones (Aqua Connect Maxima (http://www.tmc-ltd.co.uk/images/maxima-t5.jpg)) which are rather slimline but are suppose to be suspended from the roof. I'm wondering if anyone who has used similar fixtures whether it is possible to mount them under a hood or would they cause problems with heat/ventilation?
I know there are retrofit kits offered by some manufacturers, was just curious to know how flexible the pre-made fixtures are in placement.
