Alright, so im looking too add the last missing puzzle to my heavily planted 72 gallon. That piece, a fancy pleco. I just recently lost a gold nugget and a clown loach (1 of my 3), due to a chemical leak in the water from a C02 level gadget. Never use that **** thing again!

Anyways, i saw some nice Galaxy pecos at my local lfs a few days ago. My question is, how do they fair in a heavily planted community tank. Are they difficult to feed? How are they in terms of activeness compared to Gold nuggets. My gold nugget would hide all day, and i never really saw him. Also, how hardy are these Galaxy plecos compared to Nuggets?

Finally, how big do they get, and do they grow fast, or slowly like nuggets?

Thanks for the help everyone!!

Galaxy's are also sometimes called Vampires. Check this link from Planet Catfish.

They get quite big and are carnivorous although i don't think they are predatory???

I like these fish a lot but did not have space (they grow to around 10") so got one of these (L102 Snowball)
