I have a pleco that lives with my RES in a 10 gallon tank. The turtle and the pleco are still young, a few months give or take a month for both of them.

As of right now, my pleco seems to be having trouble sticking to the tank. He keeps floating up, almost turning completely over, then he'll regain his suction for a bit and the behavior starts over again. I have no idea what could have caused this seemingly random behavior

Is there anything at all that I can do?

take him out! the water is not suitable for him, the RES is a poo machine. Test the water !

YA GET HIM OUT put the pleco in a fish tank, there are pond snails that have a hard time living in my Red Eared Slider tank! plus even if you keep the tank clean, the turtle will tear up the fish if it notices it or it it scrapes up against it!
