please help, my honey gourami is lying on his side, struggling to breath. ive just done a water change ( 1 third) and hes been like this for a few days now. his colour is drained also. hes the only one in the tank. the tank is a 55g and is lightly planted with black neons neons medakas corys and an upside down catfish. i reacently removed a krib that was overly agressive and killed his mate. he was also bugging the other tankmates. what should i do? i dont have nitrate or nitrite test kits and will check the parrems this arvo. thanks.

Sorry to hear about your troubles fishman. We'll need some more information to help you out. Specifically water parameters including ph, ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Also some history on the tank, how long has it been established, has is been propery cycled, how often do you do water changes, do you treat with any chemicals, CO2 etc.

This information should help us figure out what's going on.
