When playing poker in four people, with half a deck (6-ace) does a flush beat a full house?? I know a full beats a flush when playing with a full deck, but I heard it's the other way around when playing a smaller deck. . .
thanks. . .
Uh, well, I don't know the answer to your question, but hubby and I play hold em regularly... and we'd love to know why anyone would play poker with a 1/2 deck?
Never heard of it!

Well, when we play regular poker, 4 people at the table, we usually play with 7's and up, and the Ace replaces the 6 for a baby straight. It's been like this ever since I was a kid watching my uncles play during holidays.

That sounds like a poker version of Euchre! Families do stuff like that- make up their own rules and stick with them for years.

I've never heard of playing poker with half a deck, or modifying the ranking of hands either. I've played poker for years with 4 people and we always use a full deck.
The only game I know that takes a partial deck is like greendeltatke says is euchre, and you take tricks by who wins the hand.
Or, like he says...it's a game someome made up.

After Daddy retired, he became a dealer so I asked him and he said he's never heard of such a rule. I think it's a family rule. :)

maybe it's an Italian thing, cause even the old men at the local bars all play with 6's or 7's and up.
thanks anyways :)
