help my fresh water tank has green water but my plants are thriving
will more filtration fix the green? i'm running (4) 6.7k/10k 96watt compact fl.
tank is a 125 gallon lights are only on for 8 hrs a day and i'm running no co2 or adding any fertilizer

green water is usually due to a excess of nutrients like phosphates and lack of nitrates or potassium. Test your water and if there is no nitrates present then dose with nitrates. If nitrates are present then try dosing potassium. The additional dosing will simulate the plants to use the excess nutrients and deprive the algae.

If you want a temporary fix, you can use a UV sterilizer or diatom filter. Both will remove the algae until the next water change.
