Water storage

I'm in a search to store my pre mixed water and wanted to see what everyone might suggest using. I don't necessarily want to use a plastic garbage can as it might be a little flimsy. I was thinking of something more heavy duty like a hazmat container with sealable lid. (just in case I've got to move it around my garage, I can use a handtruck)

anyone have any suggestions and where did you get yours?

thanks

65 gallon agriculture spray tank. Biggest perk is it comes with bulk heads already installed, so it's just a matter of adding a valve and hose, then letting the magic of gravity drain the new water into the sump.

For storing FW water, we use a large trash can. As long as you don't have to move it, it's fine.

Hey OG, what are the dimensions of the 65g spray tank? Got a link where I could see one?

I think that is my problem. I want to be able to move the barrel/drum around with a hand truck and I don't think the garbage can will work for me.

Wonder if that agricultural unit would do.....

I can't seem to find a pick on the net, Greg...I can take a pic and post it this weekend, if that will do. We bought it a a farm supply place--about $80 for the 65 gallon tank. It's on a flat bed cart, with hard wheels, and we just pull it out for use.

This pic is pretty close to ours--not exactly it, and I think this one is bigger than ours, but you get the idea...

They also make ones that stand upright, but I'd worry about how stable that would be in motion. Full of water, it would be really tipsy, I think.

No, not always full but I'm in a small house and need it to be mobile so I can get it out of the way after its use.

Defintely look into the sprayer tanks. Wide variety of sizes, and they come in both horizontal and vertical setups. They are designed to be strapped in, so would easily attach to a hand truck.
