ok heres my sitation. i have a cycled 10 gallon but its currently fishless. and i also have a 20 gallon saltwater tank. i was doing a small waterchange, and had about one gallon of saltwater in a bucket, and for some ignorant reason, dumped the gallon or so of saltwater in the 10 gallon tank. i plan to completely empty it, put in a new substrate, and do a planted tank. is this a problem that i had a gallon of saltwater in the tank. im going to get a new filter, cos the one i have is jnk. wat about the heater? i was going to empty it anyway and do this, but putting in the saltwater goofed me up and i dont know why i did it.

so do u think it will be ok if i rinse it out ok

wat about the heater

If it's a cycled tank, I wouldn't rinse it. I'd remove all of the water, and refill with treated freshwater.

just do 3 back to back 75 gal water changes and that should clear you up...the biggest thing Id do now is move the bacteria filter to a FW tank until the water changes are complete however I doubt such a small amount of salt (dont know what the SG is registering do you?) will really upset it.

dont know the SG cos my hydrometer doesnt go under 1.010. ill jst leave it for now.

Should be not too much of a problem, just do daily 50% water changes for a week or so and everything will be fine, no need to worry.
