View Full Version : Quality gf online? (besides GF Connection)
I want to buy a few red lionheads, and Rick at gf connection does not have any. Are there any other good sources for gf in the US online?

Hi Shay, I have never had the chance of buying a goldfish online, but there are many places that you can get them. There are some risks involved though. At goldfish connection you can look at the fish that you want to purchase, some places will only tell you will get 2 red lionheads. I have read of horror stories upon fish being received dead or not perfect. Rick’s fish are some of the best that you can get. Going elsewhere will only be a roll of the dice in my opinion.

Rick does have red and white lionheads, and after going to the lfs yesterday and seeing the incredible red and white lionhead on the Hikari Lionhead food container, buying Rick's red and whites is tempting.

I know that he has nice fish and have only ever heard good things about Goldfish Connection, but he just doesn't have what I'm looking for. I emailed him asking if he expected to receive any solid reds and did not get a reply. I suspect for this reason that he *never* gets solid reds.
I did find another place, but have not emailed them yet.

The aol addy makes me a little suspicious, but the fish pictured on the page are nice.
Maybe I will hear back from Rick, if not I'll probably just pick out some young fish at the lfs and see how they develop.

I have inquired of that place you mentioned(Dandy orandas hide away) I received a e-mail back from her, and although she does not ship to Canada, she was helpful with suggestions. As for Rick Hess I e-mailed him on three seperate occasions and did not receive a single response. I hope you have better luck. You could try The Goldfish King at www.goldfishking.com.

I checked out that breeders board, that is a very cool site with which I was not previously aware.
Gotta give Rick Hess some credit. He did reply, and he does have red lionheads, but they are six inches.
