Use IE, sometimes other 'browsers' (such as the SBC yahoo, aol, etc...) won't let you open videos or hotlink pictures.

I saw the video............it rocks! That's a cool little fish.

It must just be me.

I got rid of IE threw the regesty.

Right click on the link he's given, then Save As.... and direct the file to save where you wish on your PC. That will download the wmv file for you and you can open it with what ever video viewer you have. Realplayer, Quicktime, etc.

I second Slappy on it being a Belonesox Belizanus. I've seen it under the name pike livebearer (only in a book ;) )

They have nothing on an african tiger fish for speed and aggresion toward potential prey. :soda:

I see them at my LFS sold as fresh water barracuda. They are cool fish but kill everything.
You can see in the slow motin part that it uses the typical Barracuda attack. They coil into an "S" shape and lunge, hit, release, then let it die then they eat.

There are a quite few different common names that are loosely used on four species of fish.
The freshwater barracuda, Topminnow, Pike killifish, Pike livebearer, Pike top livebearer, Pike topminnow, rocket gar, spotted Cachorro, blunt nosed gar, Gar characin, Hujeta Gar, Slant nose gar, and Big-eyed Cachorro all seem to be used as common names for these four commonly confused species.

Belonesox belizanus
Ctenolucius hujeta
Acestrorhynchus falcatus
Acestrorhynchus nasutus

its a belonesox. illegal in a lot of places cause they will wipe out all the minnows minnows in the area which will starve all the bigger natives. you can catch them down in florida by the ton. i used to breed these livebearers and they were awesome, they would take half a dozen or so gambusia every few days. kept them in a heavily planted tank and watched the predators work, hiding in the leaves until something swims by and then its an ambush. you can also get them off aquabid but the person that sells them overcharges for everything.

I found this (http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/Gallery/Descript/PikeKillifish/PikeKillifish.html). I see them occasionally sold as freshwater barracuda, and I tell you I want some. Although apparently they're cannaballistic. Anyways I was at the lfs when one of the people working there gave some people a demo of them eating. Dumped a bunch of feeders in the tank and they lasted like a whole 2 minutes. It was amazing.
