View Full Version : Angels Spitting up Food!!

Hey everyone. Lately my angels have been spitting up their flakes, They suck them into their mouths like ussual and chew them up then they spit them out in shreds, it a little cloud of shreded flakes and the Silver Dollars come right up and clean it up. When they eat bloodworms, they dont spit it up, just the flakes. Any ideas? :confused:

Maybe they dont like them. My Platies will some times do that too. Are they a new package of flakes? Any changes?

What brand are you using? I'd try a different brand. Blue Ribbon makes a really good flake food called 'Aqua Select Menu Mix'.

I had the same problem with my angel. I could get him to eat a couple blood worms or frozen brine shrimp, but he still didn't eat much. Unfortunately, he died a couple weeks ago.

When i first got my angels i fed every other day blood worm. This made them spit flakes out when I fed. I stopped feeding bloodworm for a week (well 9 days) and then they started eating flake - they will still mince and spit out a few flakes each time but most go all the way down!
Dunno if Angels get used to a food stuff but mine seemed to
