how fast is a gsp supposed to grow i have one in 20long for about 6-7 months now. would it do better with more of its kind in a bigger tank? right now all is well he seems happy and is healthy.

How big is it now? It will grow to be about 6 inches. It should be fine by itself but if you get it a fellow GSP just make sure they are the same size. You would probably need like a 55g tank if you were going to keep two of them.
