So got it delivered and built the stand. Me and my freind managed to lift it onto the stand (who would have thought a five ft tank would weigh so little?!) and then we washed the gravel. Then he went home and left me to it!!!
So by midnight I had cleaned 25KG of small grade gravel and 25KG of large grade river gravel.
Next day i laid the heating cable. 26ft Rena, came with 8 x suction cups which was about half of what it needed!
Laid fine gravel, layer of latterite, and then the larger gravel.
Fishless cycle for 4 weeks kept at 5ppm NH3. Amm - 0, Nitrite - 0, N'trate 10ppm
Cycle finished begining of the week and since then I have transfered my Danios and planted a few E Behleri. One more enormous piece of wood (currently soaking) to go in and a lot more Echinodorus species which i will be picking up on the weekend.
I will be moving the Danios back in to my 30g and the Angels into my 100g on the weekend.
6 Cardinal tetras in the 30g moving tomorrow night.
Any comments / suggestions?
