So I'm building a stingray tank. It will probably house 3 tiny stingrays, until they get untiny. Then once they've grown out they are going to a breeder. This said tank will be 6' by 2.5' and about 2' tall, and it'll be about 270 gallons. I don't recall if we counted the sump or not. With these rays I plan to keep 2 bichirs (one for sure senegal), a moonlight gourami (unless it gets picked on, then it'll be back to the 44 gal for that one) and I was thinking of ID sharks. So my question is will about 5 be alright in this setup?

I agree with Oriongirl. Those sharks are better left at the store or kept in a HUGE pond. They are not for aquariums. We've stopped selling them finally at the store I work from way too many complaints from customers.
If I as you, I wouldn't add any, you're just most likely going to end with more headaches and hassles than anything....nobody wants a fish of that size.

And if those other two wise replies didn't disuade you - just let me add aside from becoming quite large they are very skittish. Every one I have ever seen over 6 inches had it face beat up from running into things in the tank or into the tank itself. This is one fish that should not be purchased they don't belong in a tank.

I agree....they need a lot of room to be happy. We found that the bigger our Iridescent Shark grew, the more sedate and settled he became. He's now probably 24"+ and one of the funniest characters in our tank....
