can anybody id this cichlid and get some info on it please?look at picture

Biotoecus opercularis I believe. At least it is Biotoecus genus. This photo is a great shot of a pair in breeding coloration. Do you have this fish? Or looking for it? Very difficult to find unless you get in touch with someone who works with these small guys. They ARE expensive and I worked with them just once but never got them to breed.

Your pic says its a Enantiopus melanogenys - here is one website - http://www.duboisi.com/articles/CJenan.htm - its hard to read but the picture number 9702 is cross refernced to this species as a photo by Roger Persson.
I stand corrected. Although many of the Biotoecus breed in sand. Still a pretty fish.
