better then an aferican cichlid tank

mybrother wants to get a 55gallon african cichlid tank he has the money but are there any better fish then african cichlids :confused:
 
That's totally a matter of personal opinion. To me, almost any fish are better than african cichlids. They just don't appeal to me.

If it were my tank, I'd probably go with a South American planted tank. Some hatchets, pencils, otos, cories, and characidium. If I ever get my 75 gallon I've been wanting, that's what I plan to do.

howed you know it was me i sold the 1000 gallon tank becouse i could affored the food for the fish it was too mush of a hassle to change the water too my dads tfish died so we only the tanks i have listed now
