Would this be too stressful?

In the very near future I am going to be moving so I'm just kicking this idea around. It will only be a move of about 20-30 minutes away and I'm moving over the coarse of about 4 weeks. I currently have an empty 66g that I'm thinking I'll set up in my new house immediatly, fill with water and put in a heater to get the temp up to what my 55g is set at. Then I am thinking I'll just put all my fish in a rubbermaid container with some tank water and put them in the tank that is set up and just take the filters from the 55g and put them on the 66g when I transfer fish. If the water is very different I will try and do some small water changes daily over that month with water from my new home so as not to shock them suddenly. Does this sound like it would be too stressful or should it be fine?

As long as the water parameters are the same or pretty close, I think that sounds like the perfect plan :thm: Just make sure you keep the media damp for the drive over and make sure the new tank water is dechlorinated first (before you add the filters on so that you don't kill the bacteria with chlorinated water), maybe even just immediately before you put the fish in. Just something that might be easy to forget in the course of the move ;)

Add some biospira for insurance....

It wouldn't hurt, but I moved over media and filters from a 35g and a 50g to a 180g and never had a cycle ;)
