Anyone else ever have this problem?
I have a pair of breeding "yellow" kribs in a heavily-planted, open-topped 55G (30G actual), and until recently I also had 9 glo-strip tetras in there as dither fish. Over the last few days, as my first batch of wrigglers became free-swimming, I started to find dessicated tetra corpses on the floor.
The only thing I can figure is that the kribs chased the tetras right outta the water in their zeal to "protect" the babies! Since the back of the tank is flush against the wall, tonight I'm putting glass strips to cover the "exit" towards the front, and buying several more glo-strips. I'm also going to lower the water level a couple of inches (the benefits of having a completely internal CO2 reactor/filter are plentiful!). I'd completely cover the top, but the temps would go thru the roof.
